I recently found the kraken, a 2-ounce silver bullion Canadian coin. It is the first of Creatures of the North series. Does anyone have any idea how many coins there will be in the series, and how frequently they will be released? RCM often holds back coin titles for future releases, so I doubt the titles are available.

I've read that there will be two issues per year, but I haven't seen mention of a series length.

I also haven't seen the release of design details for the next issue.

They have done 2 per year for other series, so that makes sense. I hope they make more than 4, like the Birds of Prey series.

Now I'm wondering when the next will be released? I thought I heard these will be done every other year actually. Is that possible? Because they didn't do a 2nd one last year.

Everything I have read indicates two issues per year; the release schedules I've seen state biannual or semi-annual releases. Both indicate twice per year; biennial (with an "e") indicates once every two years.

The impact of the virus may have pushed the second 2020 release to 2021. We'll just have to wait and see if the series continues as no official word from the Mint has been issued.
