This medal with the flags of USA, UK and others on the reverse strikes me as potentially being for an exhibition, but I'm unable to date it. Can anyone help please.

quite sure it has something to do with the Boxer Rebellion but not certain, thats the sense I get from this medal. Date would be roughly 1900.

Looking at the flags, it would make sense. UK, USA, France, Italy and in the centre Japan; which led me to think that it might be a Japanese medal.

It's definitely japanese at that time the Japanese where in Korea and north parts of China. I would sugguest that someone whos Chinese is very good might also be able to translate, as I'm guess that it is Kanji on the medal.

Why am suggesting it has something to do with that boxer rebellion is that those nations were involved with this indicient? Well I guess people died and that why a possible medal however I've seen the medal for that particular event in Japanese and it suppose to be a copper medal and design is nothing like this one so might involve something however might be wrong.

From what I'm able to see it has numbers 8 10 2 so might be 1895
