how much should a normal clad Canadian quarter weigh? I know ive read one weighs 5.76 and one weighs 5.07....how come I have one that weighs 4.88 and the scale rocks towards the low side of that when it teeters.Or when it fluctuates. Is this a normal differance in weight?

There are no clad Canadian coins.
The 1968 50% silver one should weigh 5.83g
The 100% nickel one should weigh 5.07g
Yours is within tolerance for a circulated nickel coin.
No need to weigh it, if it sticks to a magnet it's nickel, if not it's silver.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...
