My wife and I are looking at a private collection of coins. This merc looked appealing enough to us (we do like the obv tone) to possibly purchase. We know it's not FSB but that's ok and hopefully it's a nice enough coin to be in the MS Range of grading. If you could give us your opinion on the grade, that would assist us in a very helpful manner. Greatly Appreciate! Edited by villagekid 05/25/2020 6:28 pm

I'm thinking AU but definitely not FSB.

I'll say AU-50. Nice example.

I'm at an AU55 on this one. A bit shy of a 58 in my book.

AU-53. I'm not sure about the toning would add any additional value.

Very nice obverse toning, Grading is very hard, But I see it as no less than an AU50. Bob

Thank you for all the input and criteria. Again, you all have been great with us and appreciate all the time and effort (your expertise) on the overall evaluation of this nice looking coin.

FWIW, I kinda liked the toning. Very subjective, but it's working for me. Need to see in hand to know for sure, of course.
