1940-D FS Jefferson Nickel For Grading. Is It Worth Ceritifying?

I'm at around 50% success rate in getting FS designation. The steps in your closeup photo appear nicer than some of what I sent in for grading. As for grade, the photos are a little blurry. One item to note is that grading services will only give FS on Mint State (MS) graded nickels. An AU grade will not get the FS designation. Report this Post to the Staff
nick10 Pillar of the Community United States 3207 Posts	Posted 05/28/2020 11:12 pm Too much jpg compression on the photos to be able to see the coin surfaces. Use less compression, or if the file size limit is a problem, use smaller photos. Report this Post to the Staff

To send in a 40-D Jeff the grade would have to be about MS-67 FS . The 40-D's are known for strong strikes and FS are not uncommon on that date and mint . Report this Post to the Staff
