There is a circular crack around east side this nearly uncirculated 1987 LMC. It sticks up like a fin.

On the back, there is a crack and corrosion.

Not sure what's the cause. Just late stage die? Thoughts?

Your photos are of a 1987 Lincoln obverse and a unknown year Wheat Back reverse. If you did not post the wrong reverse photos -I have a pretty good idea what the circular crack and corrosion is.

I assume since the title of your post is

Thoughts on 1987 P LMC
and LMC meaning " Lincoln Memorial cent" you have posted the wrong reverse.

The forum engine didn't like that my Wheat cent post and this LMC post had a picture named the same. It was reversing which was which on both posts.

I changed the name in the Wheat penny post, and now can see the LMC reverse as it was originally uploaded again.

Weird web coding error.

Your photos and title still don't match. You have 24 hours to re-edit and fix the issue within the CCF system.
