Dear Friends, Got this nice 1869 Indian head but it needs to be conserved... Please let me know the possible ways to conserve a copper coin without damaging it as this is a high value coin wanted to take a safe approach. Also, I can see full crisp liberty and hoping it will make XF details at least. Please pass on your comments on grading and help with safe conservation methods on a copper coin. Appreciate all your inputs! And apologies for crappy pictures provided by the seller as I still do not have the coin in hand.

I will definitely do when I have it in hand, Frog. I believe the reverse also mostly have verdigris damage only.

I like the way the 1 appears to be touching the point of the bust. Congratulations. Let us know if it a variety as well when you have a chance to look at it in hand.

pretty crappy photos. the amount of verdigris on the reverse would be a concern. if you attempt to remove it using verdicare some of may come off but whats underneath that would be a concern

The coin looks EF-40 even in the lousy photos. But, it will "details" for environmental the damage.

The O in one sure looks weird . There's a small possible chance that they already tried to clean this coin of Verdigris and corrosion . Sharper photos were needed to determine this . Hope the seller offers returns .
