manila galleon trade Pillar of the Community Spain 1361 Posts	Posted 11/13/2008 09:50 am Hi there coin experts, I need help on this coin. It was in a bunch of Spanish Philippine (1771-1835) 1 Quarto copper coins. The size of the coin is the same as the Philippine quarto, 22 mm and it's made of copper. I would say it is a 1 quarto, in the center it looks to me like a countermark (Counterstamp), Guatemala or widows mite? I'm not even certain it is a coin, from that pic - could it be a button?
