Littleton Type Albums- Duplication - Coin Community Forum

Coins1989 Valued Member United States 136 Posts	Posted 06/22/2020 9:58 pm I bought both the type albums for 19th and 20th century. There is overlap- the 20th century album has spaces for the Barber series as well as the Morgan dollar. Anybody else notice this? Any idea why they chose to do this? Report this Post to the Staff

The value difference between a 19th century set and a 20th century set is fairly significant. 20th century sets would appeal to lower budget collectors, while 19th century sets would be for a mid-range or higher budget collectors. Having them in both albums makes it fair in the event a collector wanted to focus on one century. In your case, just make sure you have appropriate dated Barbers and Morgans in the respective albums and call it a win. Littleton does not promote these albums- they are not listed in their catalog, I had to order them from their site. I suspect they were designed as a benefit to members of their 'coin cub' for type coins. Report this Post to the Staff
