2016 Lincoln Shield Cent Die Clashes (2)

Spacegirl Valued Member United States 57 Posts	Posted 07/07/2020 10:27 am It's nice to find a few minutes to take pictures and post! I found these two LSC 2016 Die Clashes two days apart while Coin Roll hunting. The second one I found first but the one I am posting first is the better of the two. I did not see any examples LIKE THESE online, and I am curious to know if they have a particular premium or if they are just fun to have. The reverse on the first one I am posting does show some outline of Lincoln's bust and face, but not nearly as much as the reverse side shows the shield and the lettering. The second one has little to no discernible obverse image on the shield, and the reverse impression is slightly better that illustrated. (y'all know I'm trying to get better pictures!) Anyway, on the first the "UNUM" goes right across the tie and the Shield is quite complete in many places. Thoughts?
