Difference Between Edward VII 3 Pences?

Can anyone tell me the difference between KM 797.1 and KM 797.2?

There does not seem to be 2 varieties in Spink and I have compared what I know about the 2 coins and can find no difference.

Same design features, composition, weight, edge design, diameter, thickness?

Krause seems to think something changed in 1904?

Any idea? Is it the difference in the prooflike ones only?

I'd assume so. The Krause catalogues don't explain it in words, but they do show pictures of different looking "3"s next to each variety.

That is such a small difference. Surely not worthy of a different KM variety. Spink does not bother to differentiate as I said.
