I like to think dealing in ancient coins I am just watching history change as a student of history and my life stays much the same. But with the coin below I listed it as "carrying off" Sabine Women and just a year or so ago I would listed what most references for the past centuries have written in the traditional way.
L. Titurius L. f. Sabinus. 89 BC. Denarius Soldiers "Carrying Off" Sabine Women SABIN behind, bare-headed and bearded head of King Tatius right; palm-branch below chin / L. TITVRI in exergue, two soldiers, facing each other, each carrying off a Sabine woman. Crawford 344/1c, 18 mm, 3.35 grams
