This is my first time posting in here.

I found this quarter in some change a long while back, probably 2005 or earlier, and just held on to it. It looks worn on the back but the front looks good. It was only 3 years old when I found it so didn't think it was in circulation long enough to be environmental but I'm not sure. I've been trying to research it lately and I'm thinking it might be a grease strike through? I'm not sure about that either since the front isn't damaged. I appreciate and feedback on this. Thanks in advance.

Welcome,I believe you are correct, the fully formed rim on the reverse and full strike on the obverse indicates that this is a grease strike through, and a major one at that, nice find!

Yes I agree that's a good one I would have it looked at by a error expert you may have something here since the collar is intact without any noticeable wear and is smooth but not flat definitely a grease strike. From my experience that's what error collectors are looking for!!

to CCF. Very nice Greaser and on your first post as well
2x2 worthy and a small premium I'm sure. You might want to check ebay sold values for an idea on current value.
