1952 S Nickel Possible Unusual Mintmark?

Hello everyone! Back with another question. Came across this 1952 S Nickel and everything seems normal wear on it, except the mintmark. I checked Variety Vista and it seems it should have the Trumpet Tail style on the S, however, this seems a little different with it being thicker and the flat part on the bottom half. I'm guessing just wear, but seems odd it would wear like that being flat. Again, thanks for the wisdom and education from everyone!

Normal mintmark, had some flattening from the 68 years it's been in circulation. Keep searching though!
