I think this coin is Philip II but not sure. It's 5.3g and 17.5mm. Any thoughts?

That would be my guess too, Jay. The coin looks like it should be treated for bronze disease.

I have limited experience in battling BD, although I did have some success not too long ago, with an ancient arrowhead.

There's a lot of info/advice available on this board and in other ancients forums. I recommend you use the CCF search function to peruse old posts in the Ancients/Medieval section that dealt with the topic.
