Wayne Sayles put out and excellent series of books on all types of ancient coins. I actually have Wayne Sayles' Ancient Coin Collecting Volumes 1-6 and found them all very informative reads indeed. I was searching through Wildwinds and cannot seem to find a similar type to the coin I have pictured. I dont see a Manuel I type with the same emperor arm placement as seen in my coin. Perhaps this one will have to stay a mystery. Report this Post to the Staff
echizento Moderator United States 23731 Posts	Posted 07/28/2020 7:37 pm I went back for another look at this coin. My first impression was incorrect. The coin is not Manuel I, it is Isaac II (Angelus) 1185-1195, Sear# 2003. Report this Post to the Staff
