I think it's a die chip. Let's see what the experts say.

You are right, Extra Leaf has die crack going thru leaf that makes it look like an extra leaf. This is chip over initials. Which is good... chip over initials is bringing more $ then extra leaf

it doesn't matter with the die crack or not really, I've seen so may of them that I don't even look for it anymore.
it's just that common for 2008 P Arizona for the die chip over the initials. like 50 cents to maybe 3 dollars on ebay, with the die crack also. just not worth the effort, like the "snow on roofs" and "leaky buckets" of the 2015-P homestead, although if the roof is all die chips and really "snowy" it can get to a decent price.

Definietly it's a die chip, but that's what all those gimmick named quarters basically are, some die chip or chips but nothing to dramatic, just in an interesting spot.

@ Big-Kingdom, I don't look for them, they are just in the bank rolls I get. Get 8-12x face for them. yes I will keep and sell. I'm more into the W quarters, found only 2. This is what I found out about Arizona quarters.

I'm don't no where you found this information. I don't think any relatively knowledgeable numismatist would pay $5-$10 for a coin with a die chip. Especially for a very common die chip.
