Ottoman Empire 10 Para Coin - Help Identifying Year.

David Graham Pillar of the Community Australia 1610 Posts	Posted 08/08/2020 6:59 pm Hi all, I have 2x 10 Para Ottoman empire coins (which I expect are the same). Numista link: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces5974.html The left hand column in Numista indicates there is a different number for each mintage year. I am assuming it is not the date on the coin as this is shown to be the same date for all mintages in the right column. Where on the coin do I find the magical arabic number that represents the mintage year? Thanks Report this Post to the Staff

As described in the Numista listing cited, the regnal year is at 6 o'clock in the first photo under the tughra. It looks like the range of regnal years on these coins is from 2 (1910) to 7 (1915), and the listing shows the Persian numbers 2 through 7.
