Hi all,

I have 2x 10 Para Ottoman empire coins (which I expect are the same). Numista link: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces5974.html
The left hand column in Numista indicates there is a different number for each mintage year. I am assuming it is not the date on the coin as this is shown to be the same date for all mintages in the right column. Where on the coin do I find the magical arabic number that represents the mintage year?

Thanks

The one shown is 1913, you go by the regnal year. It's in the small lettering directly above the olive branch.

Yes, above the olive branch. As described in the Numista listing cited, the regnal year is at 6 o'clock in the first photo under the tughra. It looks like the range of regnal years on these coins is from 2 (1910) to 7 (1915), and the listing shows the Persian numbers 2 through 7.

Gincoin and Seeker - Many thanks for the replies and helping clarify it. I actually have 2 different years.
