From my observations, it seems that silver maples with privy marks can be quite popular, definitely more so than most commemorative silver coins. What's the reason? To me, privy mark issues of bullion are just like commemorative coins with a hefty premium.

I think it's due to higher demand (many Silver Maple collectors) and scarcity, together with more balanced issue price.
