I agree: it could stand alone as a jewelry item.
Silver value only as a numismatic item.

I have a rather nice Barber Half in about AU-50, that suffered the same fate, in this case, the pin has been crudely filed off, leaving a badly destroyed reverse with hard solder remaining.

I forgot to mention that it is dated 1895, a better year for this coin.
