I have been heavily into banknotes for a while and moved away from coins but thought I would dip my toe in again. Comments on grade welcome please. Marbury (Crewe, UK)
Obverse design exactly the same design (prepared by H.J Blakemore, from The Royal Mint), as Australian Florins of the same period. Above average condition as normally found for this issue. Wear on the crown band (6 pearls showing) VF (British grading).
the 1916 is for sure between VF-35 and EF-40, only thing is the "crown line" is not firm all the way, showing little wear, but what a beautiful toning, orange and gold field makes the date poppin ! nice coin
