I have over 25 editions of A Guide Book of United States Coins but have a gap that stretches from the 2008 Edition through the 2013 Edition. In one of those editions lies the answer for which I am looking.

If you have one or more of the editions I am missing and can tell me what is listed for the Plain and 2*4 varieties of the 1921 Missouri commemorative half dollar, I would very much appreciate it.

My 2007 Edition lists 5,000 for the 2*4 coin and 15,428 for the Plain variety. In the 2014 Edition, the mintages are listed as 9,400 and 11,400, respectively. I'm looking to learn when the switch occurred.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

2013 is what you have listed 9400 and 11,400. I will try to dig out my old books later.

Thanks! That narrows down the changeover edition to the range of 2008 through 2012. I look forward to your follow-up!

My 2011 edition shows 9,400 and 11,400.

My next oldest edition is 2007, so that is no help here.

I lied!

I forgot we had a 2009 edition that I gave my son (being hopeful at the time).

10,000 and 10,428 are listed.

Looks like a moving target. 2008 and 2010 will be interesting.

@jbuck: Thanks for the info! I'm definitely curious to see what is included in the 2008 and 2010 editions!

Sorry for the delay on replying. So it appears 2008 we had a change, and then again 2011.

2008-2010:
2*4 10,000
Plain 10,428

2011-current
2*4 9,400
Plain 11,400
