I obtained the following coin in my collection, a thick one of 7 Grams, and around 20 Mm. My guess is that it would be an early or medieval Arab coin, based on the floral pattern.

The other side is however puzzling to me. The worn down shape reminds me of a lion, which might make it a 'lion and sun' coin. It might however also be a minting error where there should have been a face.

What are your thoughts? Any chance of IDing this one?

Yes, it's a lion-and-sun symbol. Which would make it an Iranian coin, I'm sure.
