1951 D Lincoln Wheat Cent Error?

Hi I have a 1951 d Lincoln Cent
it have the mintmard d closed with the 5 of the date
i have look to other 1951 d lincoln cents but the mintmark d is
far from the date.
Is this an error coins please?

Hi Viola

The mint mark location looks normal , the coin is not an error .

Until 1990 the mintmark was punched into each working die by hand so the location varied. The mintmark can be found all over the place below the date from actually touching the numbers to almost to the rim below the date.
