Noticed this on e-bay today #402385312609 an 1882 OBV 1 described as a Round Tip (TRUNC).

Why?

I guess that whoever is grading coins for them now doesn't know what an Obv 1a is. Who on earth, except someone heavy into varieties and nomenclature, would know what "truncation" means when it's abbreviated "trunc." They must be talking about the neck truncation, but it's easier to say "tip" or "end" rather than "trunc". ICCS used to be a fairly good TPG.
