Coin is in bad shape, but looks like the 1942 Wheat penny error FS-01-1942-104 or Coneca DDO-008. Any thoughts?

Looks like the coin has some resin on the obverse? Perhaps a small acetone bath could do the trick?

I will have to look up how to do the acetone bath thing. Will coins loose value after that? Thanks everyone for your help.

Does not look like DDO-008 FS-104 to me. FS-104 has a strong doubled eyelid for the main PUP. Below is a picture of my example to compare:

Keep hunting!

This is a common enough LWC where it is a good coin to practice cleaning on.
