hi everyone,
im very very new to the Coin World and I'm just learning about & how to identify errors vs. damage from coin being circulated (hopefully I'm comparing the right issues) and what to look out for in coin errors.so if you would all be so helpful as to lmk what you all think and give me your insight and knowledge on this quater it would be very greatly appreciated.

Post mint damage. Looks like someone was playing around in their garage with a chisel, pliers, and a hammer to me.

Welcome to the group. When you see coins like that, consider how you might replicate the unusual marks if you wanted. If you can imagine doing so via a hammer, screwdriver or some other tool, that's likely what someone else did to the coin. Most true mint errors cannot be simulated by simply hammering on a coin.
