Good day....Well what I'm seeing is a Wide AM on this Lincoln Penny. The last image is a normal 1999 Philadelphia penny.
Experts have your way, I'm opened to all opinions.
Thanks again.javascript:insertsmilie('')

And yet, had it been a 1992 LMC it would have been considered a WAM not a CAM.
I was told, that they have to touch.
Oh well, you live and you learn.
Thanks again as always.

no, if it were a 1992 it would be considered a thousand dollar coin. Use the placement of the FG, not the AM, it's more reliable. The WAM has the designer's initials much closer to the memorial building.

This is incorrect. On a EARLY die stage CAM the AM MAY touch but after some die wear and especially if the rev die is polished the AM will separate and no longer be touching. The key is on the CAM the AM is much closer together than the ME, On the WAM the AM and ME spacing is the same. That equality of spacing on the WAM remains true early, middle, late, and very late die states or stages.

Go back and look at your original picture and notice how much closer the AM are together than the ME.
