There was a question in the "roll searching" thread about where one can find free coin counting machines. I know here on Long Island you can use TD Bank (formerly Commerce), and YOU DON'T NEED TO BE A CUSTOMER. No account necessary at the bank.

Just wanted to let you know.

Hmm I wonder why a bank would do that for you. They must not want to buy coins from the fed

I offer free coin counting, just send all your coins to me and I will count them.

I provide free coin counting -- for anyone who brings me their jar, bag, bucket or box full of change. I generally turn it around in 24 hours. It's friends and co-workers, of course, but I do find some interesting things from time to time. And I always tell them that if I find anything worth $10,000, I'll split it with them. That hasn't happened so far.

One fellow from work gave me a tin full of change recently, and in addition to the cash for the coins and his tin, I also gave him back five nails, two screws, a wing nut, a washer, a broken chain from a key ring, and a small bottle opener that I found in there. The pocket fuzz I discarded.
