Hello all, as I stated in another post, I'm not a collector of coins but I've always had a habit of picking out coins that appear different, so in some sense I guess I'm a collector but nothing serious.
I found this when I was a kid at the park while throwing a football around. Never thought much of it but did keep it, recently rediscovered it and now I know what it is, or appears to be. If it's authentic or not, I don't know.
Your medal appears to be a genuine, circulated example of HK-289 - a so-called dollar (SCD). (The HK nomenclature refers to the Harold Hibler and Charles Kappen catalog of SCDs.)
