Hello, I am looking for opinions on this 1944 nickel. One person told me it looks cleaned but I don't know. My wife inherited it.

Not cleaned base on this photo at least - there's a quite strong halo effect on the obverse so I suspect the surfaces are legit.

I'm pretty new at the photo taking bit and am not sure about use of flash and whether it is ok to enhance a photo. The pictures I've taken are hard to get the resolution to show the details correctly. I know there is info on this website so I might re-post if I can find a better way. Thank you for your input.
