Dear friends,
I have the denarius in my small collection.
It's Septimius Severus Denarius.
Obv: L. SEPT SEV PERT AVG IMP (II)
Rev: P(F)ORT. REDVC
I found the similar coin on acsearch
link https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=1172595
But there's no info about the RIC, BMCRE or RSC?
No info about the mint - ROME, EMESE or Laodicaea Mint?
Thanks in advance for any info.

Closest that I could find was SEAR#6278 - which supposedly correlates to RIC#383, but yours is obverse D, and the SEAR coin is listed as obverse B. All of these Fortuna issues seem to have been struck around 194AD in Emesa. Hopefully someone with more references / a better knowledge of these issues can give you a more precise match!

norantyki Thanks a lot for your reply. But the coin of RIC#383 has the Obv: IMP CAE L SEP SEV
PERT AVG COS II, but mine one has L. SEPT SEV PERT AVG IMP (II)

@pastpost - that's the issue, I don't see obverse D listed with this reverse in the SEAR. Hopefully someone has another reference that lists this particular pairing. :)

It is an IMP VIII issue similar to mine below.

Obv:- L SEPT SEV PER-T AVG IMP VIII, laureate head right
Rev:- FORT REDVC, Fortuna (Hilaritas) standing front, head left, holding long palm and cornucopiae
Minted in Laodicea-ad-Mare. A.D. 196
Ref:- BMCRE 443a. RIC IV 479A (b) (R2)

The type does also occur for the IMP II series as you know.

RIC 453 looks like this.

Septimius-Severus-AR-Denarius-For-ID

but there are lots of variations to RIC 453 too

This coin varies from the standard RIC 453 in a couple of ways. The obverse legend carries the PERTE instead of PERET. The reverse legend is missing the E from REDVC.

Septimius-Severus-AR-Denarius-For-ID

And then there is this oddit with FORT R AVG, which is unlisted in any of the standard references

Septimius-Severus-AR-Denarius-For-ID

The COS II issue (RIC 383) is more common

Septimius-Severus-AR-Denarius-For-ID
Septimius-Severus-AR-Denarius-For-ID

though there are scarcer varieties under COS II too

such as FORTV-NA REDVCI
Septimius-Severus-AR-Denarius-For-ID
or FORTVNE REDVCI
Septimius-Severus-AR-Denarius-For-ID

and then some are even more scarce (note the odd, shortened errors in the obverse legend). Unpiblished in major references

Obv:- IMP CA L SEP SEV PER AVG COS II, Laureate head right
Rev:- FORT REDVC, Fortuna (Hilaritas), standing front, head left, holding long palm and cornucopiae

Septimius-Severus-AR-Denarius-For-ID

or even Hilaritas seated
