The play of light on the surface is suggesting parallel abrasions, which would be caused by some kind of post mint damage, not a grease strike. I'm glad to hear you did your homework, swoon, but many of the members here (including Spruett) have a vast wealth of knowledge in the hobby accumulated over much more time than even a thorough Google search.
