Hi,

I have just discovered in an old family box a purse full of british coins dated between 1920 and 1960. There was also this strange coin you can see below and I have no idea what it could be!

In case it could help, my grandfather was a Frenchman who fought in WW2 and stayed in England for about a year before participating to D-Day. Could this be related?

The front has the number 57 and what could be a horizontal I engraved on it and the back has nothing but dirt I guess?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I think the number is 5.7, rather than 57.

How large is it?
