If you rotate the first picture 90 degrees counter-clockwise, it's a pretty clear bust of a man looking leftward. I don't recognize it though. Perhaps that info can help establish the proper orientation of the reverse.

It looks vaguely Roman, but can't tell if it's an Imperial coin, a Provincial coin, or a modern replica.
