Thought that it might be better to move this to a new thread so I moved it from here https://www.coincommunity.com/forum...IC_ID=378775

Oh no, I'd better get a move on ... word is that a new set of $1 'A' to 'Z' coins are in the pipeline!
https://www.legislation.gov.au/Details/F2020L01155 (scroll down to 170)

'A' for Akubra, 'B' for BBQ, 'C' for Cheery Ripe ....... 'Z' for Zinc Sunscreen.

pretty sure they are silver proof for the baby letter coins, it's a great gift and not really for collecting. However if the Australia government wants to start using silver for circulation sure why not ill take them :D hahaha.

According to the above link, the next lot of A - Z coins are type R71. They are being made in silver, but also in copper, aluminuim & nickel.

Did a bit of googling and found a couple of indicators that there will be a second Great Aussie Coin Hunt occurring sometime next year (not sure of sources though).

'Well it has been announced that the Great Australian Coin Hunt is back on again for 2021 ...' https://en.numista.com/forum/topic87027.html

... and from https://www.facebook.com/Australian...15805313482/

Just thinking in regard to ...https://www.legislation.gov.au/Details/F2020L01155

... if numbers 170-195 are indeed another Great Aussie Coin Hunt then I wonder if number 196 is going to be the equivalent to the sort after 'A' coin with the envelope privy mark from the 2019 series?

Coloured coral and fish would make this a very desirable coin to collect ... but then again I might be completely wrong!
