I recently found this in a box of pennies. My first thought was that it was "spooned", but it appears to be split. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Please crop photos properly before posting. Your white balance also looks a bit out of adjustment. To me it looks like a Dryer Coin,whatever it is it did not leave the mint like that. So PMD of some sort.

It's a Dryer Coin. Way too many pics and please crop. 3 pics would've been plenty, you uploaded 17.
