No I do not think it is Cambodian. It is copper not silver. The tail is long and graceful, not short and crude. Thanks for the effort!

French India from Pondicherry, probably a Doudou but you didn't give a weight or show the reverse(which should not be blank).

Gincoin43. Thanks a lot. As usual you are spot on! The reverse of the coin was not blank but very worn and nothing much could be seen in the photo. After reading your response, my memory clicked and I recalled that the Pondicherry coins had this bird on them. Thanks again!
