So, I'd say maybe three months ago I sent Wexler a package of variety cents that I found while CRHing. A few were new discoveries, while others were new die stages, and one was a significant supposed " DDR" on a 1980s cent that I found, for those that remember it.

However, I never got a reply back, or any news at all relating to Wexler. I thought nothing of it, he's very busy I'm sure. But then recently I found out he stopped taking submissions. I know the reason behind it, but it isn't my business to say what.

I'm fine with waiting, I'm even fine with waiting an entire year for me to get a reply and get my coins sent back to me. But, my main concern is that they might eventually get lost over time, and might not get sent back to me.

This is all speculation of course. So for those that have sent Wexler coins while he wasn't taking submissions, or sent him coins before so and then he stopped taking them before he could evaluate your coins, what did you do? What should I do? Did you eventually get your coins back?

I have waited over a year on John to attribute some coins. Parkinson's is wreaking havoc on him. He felt pretty bad and sent me three of his coins from his personal collection. Have patience, it took a year but I got my coins back. Send him an email that says you support him and that he gets better soon. He would greatly appreciate that.

Thanks for your response Jim, that's all I needed to hear. I hope it isn't as bad this time around for him as I'm sure Parkinson's is an absolutely terrible thing to experience.

Just wanted to make sure I didn't screw up.

EDIT: Cheers Jim, will do. I'm perfectly fine waiting for however long it takes, I don't wish to rush him whatsoever. I'll make sure to send him an email wishing him the best.
