The reverse inscription translates to "Whereever you throw it, it will stand" in reference to the tendency of Manx individuals to always land on their feet.

Cats land on their feet by using their tail as a rotating counterbalance.
A Manx cat may be an exception.

If any of our colleagues from the Ancient Coin World check in, I think they will point out this is a VERY old motif on coins.

edit: Gosh, I hate what these recognition programs do with simple word combinations
