Legit, looks like an anvil die cap... probably damaged a bit when a mint worker used a tool (like pliers) to remove the cap off the die. What is the weight?

Thanks guys,
SPP, the weight is 3.16 g

How did I get it?
some years ago, together with some other coins in a collection I purchased. Now it is "make room time" for all odd stuff.

Given there is no date, and obvious edge damage, I'd be amazed if you even got half for what you recently listed it on ebay.
