Recent ebay pickup. Didn't know a paperback was available. Good info. Pictures of marginal usefulness.

Congrats on the pickup! Doug is very knowledgeable about Southern Gold and a good choice to prepare a reference work on the series. I hope you enjoy reading the book!

I believe your edition is Doug's first book on Charlotte gold - published in 1987. He has updated the volume twice (that I'm aware of) - the last time being in 2009.

I don't own any of the titles, however, so others will have to chime in regarding potential differences between the three versions.

This is 1st edition. I have hardcopy of Doug's Dahlonega book. I believe he is the authority on these southern gold coins.

Nice reference. I have the 3rd edition. NOT sure about your photos, but my edition they are color and have very good closeups to assist in attribution.
