Hello everyone. The person I bought this coin from claims it was issued by the Moldovan voivode Stefanita Lupu/Papura Voda. (1659-61). Unfortunately, I've not been able to find other examples of this coin anywhere to be able to draw any comparison. Requesting help. Dimensions: 20mm,1.4g

I think from the first photo, we can confirm the coin is from Moldavia.
If the second photo is rotated about 90 degrees clockwise, the shield within the beaded circle has the same shape as this early 16th century groat of Stefan IV: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces122393.html

I think the legends are in such bad condition we may not be able to confirm this for sure, but the shape of the major devices look right.

I can't find any coins issued in his name. Modovia was in a economic collapse during his reign his successor, Eustratie Dabija, reopened the Suceava in his first year, but mostly to make counterfeits.

I get the confusion now. Both Stefan IV and the other guy were known as Stefanita. Upon closer inspection against the light, the lettering matches with the Stefan IV groschen. I'm assuming it is a scarce coin since I didn't find any examples for sale in a better condition than my piece, which seems to be caked in some sort of dirt which I'd rather not clean. Many thanks to everybody.

The only example I can find is this one, which sold for $350 back in 2010:

But the weight is quite different
