Are weak strikes worth keeping or are they just considered damaged coins? This opposite sides of the same coin so there was obviously an issue at this strike point on the coin.

The are struck through a partially Grease Filled Die. Fairly common, no premium on yours. If the coin showed more of the grease, some of those are a good value. Check ebay's sold completed listings to learn more about grease values.

Agreed with @merclover - not pronounced enough to command any real premium. As to whether or not to hang onto them, well its not much FV, and if you find them neat, go ahead! Happy hunting :)

Need to disclose the year it was minted!
if it is pre-1964 and (1964) it's Silver and its worth more than 25c,
If it is post 1964 its worth just the face value even with having a minor struck thru grease.
