I know nothing of these except they are beautifully designed coins. Anything to look for on these? I have seen a few with very nice color , great looking coin for the year. This one looks uncirculated to my eye.

revised to say I thought it was glare at the top lettering area is that poor strike or was the lettering rubbed off?

Not my photos or coin

1799 dated Farthing was a one year type, designed by Conrad Kuchler.
The first British coin with the full stated denomination on the coin, not just a number, and to have the date on the obverse.
The 1799 was also struck as a gold proof, with plain edge at the Soho Mint, as a late striking, along with all of the proof versions of this date.
(Probably struck also 1800 to 1805, all with 1799 fixed date**)

(** my opinion)

could this be a coin not minted in 1799 ? That would be interesting but if I buy it I would want to try and have it graded though the letters near the top have either a poor strike or appear to be rubbed

Attractive coin with plenty of lustre!

I've seen quite a few 1799, 1806 and 1807 farthing and halfpennies with similar weak obverse lettering. I don't think there's any way to identify coins struck in 1799 from later strikes.
