Looking through a 15 roll group of steelies I picked up about 2 years ago. I was excirted when I won them in a local auction but once I got them home and opened them I could tell most if not all were replated. Not a terrible job of it but still very dissappointing. I haven't been able to bring myself to look them over untill recently. Even then it's only a roll or two at a time.

Anyway, this 1943p LWC Precud RDC-084 popped up over the weekend. Cuds-on-coins has #83 & #84 on the same coin but on mine, #83 hasn't fully formed yet. I've added arrows to point out the die chip and cracks that will ultimately lead to #83.

Scroll way down the list.
ps. There is this Keith guy () that has cornered the market on listings for precuds. I bet it's driving the attributors there batty. He has the last 22 for this year alone, including this one.

The last image is to show the missing rusty streaks that should be evident if this was an original un-plated coin. Some coins in the roll have rust spots or circulation wear that has been plated over.

That's actually a pretty nice pre-cud, but muted on a replate.

Rumor has it that guy has another two rolls or so of unlisted Cuds and pre-cuds sitting around waiting to get a listing.
