Stopped at a Beneficial Bank on my way back from the post office and grabbed a couple rolls. The first roll I opened contained about 60% copper including these 4.

Thanks, Butch. I'm thinking someone broke out a roll of BU 64s because I found another half dozen mixed in with the rest of the rolls I got that day. All nice and bright.

found these a moment ago...

is the 52-s a RPM or Variety? or could it be Post mint damage?

and a lovely 39-s to boot! almost flawless! some dirt or something on the obverse, sdad I know.. I wonder if it would get a MS-63?

The 52-S looks like a die chip, it's pretty cool!

Soak that 39-S in some xylene and gently rub that residue with a toothpick after it's soaked a few hours. You might get it right off. If that doesn't work, soak in some distilled water.

That is a beautiful 39S! I hope you are able to get the junk off of it like BadThad said.

Finished up my first box this morning. Not bad overall got several 90's in AU-BU state that I had yet to get. Plus $4.68 in copper. 7 Canadian cents. A grand total of 11 Wheaties! Oldest was a 1920, but the odd ball was the one pictured below. Any information on this would be much appreciated. I think it must have been some piece of jewelry at some point. The picture does not really show the silver luster of the coin. Sorry for the bad pictures still learning.

chef, what you have is most likely a 1943 steel penny, they were made that way because they needed the bronze for the war.
