I've only done about 10-12 or so boxes of pennies, but I must say I pulled a ridiculous amount of 70's S pennies. It got to the point where I had a heaping pile and just threw them back in with the rest of the lot of em.

Had me a good time yesterday 35 dollars worth of rolls and of that had an enormous amount of MS coins from 1987 to 2008. With 1994D and 2000D being the most prevalent also every one was from the Denver mint. Pulled 2 really nice die crack on a 1984 and another on a 1983. S mints pulled 45 50 68 69x3 70 71x3 72x2 73 74 from the last roll that is by far the hardest for me to find.
Wheaties 29 42 44 45s 45Dx2 48 50s 51dx2 57dx2 58d
No more boxes for me till I get all this stuff organized and albums and folders updated. Gonna try and get some decent scans of some early 60es stuff I pulled yesterday, but I can never get the luster to show up correctly if they come out nice will post them.

oldcoach, I know what you mean about organizing...I've got all kinds of tubs full of roll finds stacked all over the place...keep meaning to organize but can't stop searching long enough to do it.

Greetings all,
Three boxes and one $25 bag today from four different banks. Did alright - wheaties sure are fun but I figured $100 would turn up something non-Canadian foreign but I was wrong. Maybe tomorrow! Did snag one foreign coin when I visited my old boss. She transferred to a store closer to home, but we still talk and she snags me the old/strange that comes through her register. Today she had a 'really weird coin' for me. I set my hopes low as I do get bicentennials from her sometimes (the thought counts right?) so I was shocked to receive a square coin! Its a 1961 Borneo/Malaya penny that someone had dropped into their charity/donation bucket - saweet! Tis all for now - thanks for letting me share!
Box 1: Wheat: 13 (1936, 1937 (2), 1942D, 1944, 1944D (2), 1948, 1953D (2), 1956, 1956D (2)) Canadian: 66 (1952, 1958, 1962 (3), 1964 (4), 1967, 2009 Magnetic (my first 2009!)) Lincoln heritage: 21 (4 varieties, both mint marks for three) Lincoln shield: 140 (all "P" mint marks)

Hey oldcoach. I save all the 'S' mint memorials, too. But I find the 1974's the most. Next will be 1969 and 1970. I hardly ever get 1973's. Now, I'm just outside of Chicago, so I wonder why the big difference? I did get 3 1971's last night in a $50 bag. That's the second least amount one I ever find in rolls or bags from the bank. Good luck in your searches!

don't know what the deal is with me and the 74S's shouldn't be that hard for me to find, but they are. Next hardest is the 73S normally. Going to go find me some Proofs on ebay for my album, then transfer some coins from folders to it.

I just bought my first box of pennies and can tell I'm already addicted to roll searching. I've only gone through 3 rolls but have found 3 wheats, 1954, 1954d, 1956 and two Canadien cents. I'm trying to complete my Dansco 7100 (I think that's the number) by roll searching, obviously not the key dates. My strategy is to keep all wheats and all red '60s and 70s and to fill in the memorials with as close to gem as I can find with coins being upgraded as I find them. I'll post later when I'm done going through them.

Got through the last of a $50 bag last night. Best find was a 1960-d rpm #1! Pretty psyched about this one as its only my second one ever. I'd call it xf+. My nicest find in quite a while. Will start a separate thread to show a pic.
The bag worked out to be 26.2% copper with only 9 wheats (common 40's and 50's). Did score 4 dimes though:).
