HoosierDaddy Pillar of the Community United States 1164 Posts	Posted 05/14/2011 05:44 am Just knocked out a $25 String box. 10 wheats with the oldest being a 1926. The other 9 were 40's and 50's. Also scored 5 canadian coppers including a 1932 George V! Haven't found one of those in quite a bit. I found a possible 1984 DDO...have to find more info and markers. And, 2 possible 1988's with the 89 reverses. The copper percentage pushing the high 30's! At work with poor lighting and kinda sleepy. I'll post pictures after I get in and charge the camera up. 3_Cent_Silver Valued Member United States 111 Posts	Posted 05/14/2011 2:32 pm After searching through 20 rolls, here is what I found: 270 coppers (27%) 7 LWC: '50, '51-D, '52, '53, '54-D, and 2 '58-D (0.7%) 5 Canadian Pennies: '74, '81, '87, '96, and a '98 which was corroded so I dumped it (0.5%) I'd say this was a great bunch compared to my last one. Bowfin Valued Member United States 296 Posts	Posted 05/14/2011 9:35 pm Cool finds everybody. Went through 4 boxes this evening. Found a lot of wheats, most of them common dates. Except this one. It's a bit dirty with some verdigris, but I don't usually find these older dates in a decent grade. Also found this Canadian that was formerly in a PL set. It looks a little bit better in hand... And this steelie. I'm pretty sure it's a replate. I've found nice specimens before, but this one looks too good. Here's a pic of the edge. Report this Post to the Staff
