I have the same question as Nobis. I was wondering if they would be worth anything (more than a penny) in 50 years if I kept them in the brilliant condition they are in. (Granted they are made of zinc now and are pieces of cr@p) lol

I've been putting a Memorial Set together of random Rolls I've gotten from Banks. I am only pulling out the BU coins I find.
Only need 30 now...Gone through maybe 30 overall Rolls, and some random loose change.

My last roll had a VERY nice BU 59d...Being on the west coast seems like the Philly Mints are the hardest for me to find.
Have yet to find:
59p
60p small
65p
69p
70 p and D
70 s LG
74-77 P
84p
87p
99p
91-94p
00-02p
08p
09 Early D
09p all but Early are needed
and 10/11 p

I have found a bunch of wheats, best being a 1914 P...one Indian Head a 1897.

YES! Excellent and yet difficult project! Keep in mind, it's never complete. Once you fill a tube, you'll find better examples to upgrade the tube with. I periodically dump out a BU tube and put the best in the bottom and the lesser ones at the top. That way, when I'm searching, I can easily swap out the lower grade coins.

Over the years that I've been doing this, I now have a complete Zincoln red, gem BU roll set. It's a pretty incredile collection in it's own right!

BadThad, Yeah its a fun thing to do...me and my Friend who I got to join this site yesterday were big Sports Card Collectors, and recently(a month or so ago) decided Coins would be more fun to focus on. Opening Random Rolls from the Banks is alot like Opening Packs of cards, except the coins are worth something more often LOL

Here are some of my finds from 59d-74s
1959 D - the Nicest Memorial I have found in a Roll, even nicer than anything new! has some cool Orange/yellow Toning

Searched 3 Brink's boxes. Still kinda light on the wheat's, but getting better. Unfortunately they are also getting grungier...

Only thing that was sorta interesting was this counterstamped 82D, it is copper. Not sure what the Ag is about, but it does kind of balance the appearance out. it is one of the better looking ones I've seen. I might actually keep this one...

Also got this medallion from a uncirculated set. It isn't even copper.
